The Carolina Tarwheels Bicycle Club
A group of bicycle enthusiasts who organize social rides in Orange, Durham, Wake, Alamance, and Chatham counties of North Carolina. We promote the fun and challenge of cycling and advocate for cycling safety and bike-friendly policies in our communities. The Tarwheels are affiliated with the League of American Bicyclists (LAB).
The Tarwheels are pleased to announce the 2013 grants the Tarwheels have awarded to local bicycling related causes and groups.
The funds granted are all from the 2013 Bikefest we hold every summer in Hillsborough. We donated over $16,000 to these organizations!
